Ministry activities for children, birth through 5th grade.
Our mission is to provide a loving, and safe, and fun environment where children may grow in their knowledge and love of God and develop meaningful relationships with adults and other children.
Childcare (Birth through 4 years) is provided on Sundays, 8:00 a.m. - Noon and 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. and Wednesdays, 5:00 – 7:15 p.m. Our leaders are experienced, trained staff members.
Sunday School for children involves committed teams of leaders, Bible-based curriculum, and hands-on activities.
9:15 – 10:15 a.m. (3 years through 5th Grade) All children are signed in upstairs and have a brief gathering time before moving to their classrooms.
2:00 – 3:00 p.m. GROW is for K-5th Graders who attend the 1:00 worship service. Class is in Gerhart Hall.
Worship is for everyone, and children of all ages are welcome! However, children 0-4 are also welcome in the nursery and we hope you will bring them into worship to participate in Communion.
Wiggle Worship (4 through 7 years) is a special time after the Gospel lesson where children follow a priest or deacon and another adult to have an active time of worship during the sermon. They return during the Passing of the Peace before Communion.
Worship Bags are provided with supplies to help the children keep their hands busy as they participate in worship.
A Children’s Worship Guide is provided each week to help older children transition into more actively worshipping with their families.
Wednesday Evenings during the school year,
Children’s Music 5:15 – 5:55 Open to all children from Kinder through 3rd grade, this choir focuses on fostering a love of music through singing, movement, and exploring instruments. This choir will sing in church 6-8 times per year.
Choristers for Grades 4-12 meets at the same time upstairs in the Music Center and sings with the Adult Choir twice a month.
Children’s Activities 6:30 – 7:15 p.m. following our family meal. Children birth through age 4 meet in the nursery, and Grades K-5 meet upstairs in the Parish House.
Special Opportunities: Back to School Blessings & Activities, Third Grade Family Bible Blast, Vacation Bible School, Children’s Ash Wednesday Worship & Burying Alleluia Banner, Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Camp (Grades 2-6), Christmas Pageant, Music Day Camp (Grades K-6), Mission and Service Projects and more!
