Lay Readers

Heavenly Rest Lay Readers (or Lay Minister) assist the priests and deacons with services at Heavenly Rest and Albany including: Sunday (8am, 10:30am, 1pm), Wednesday (5:30pm), week day Eucharists, funerals, weddings, and special services. 

Resposibilities vary by tpy of service, but include reading the lessons, Psalms, assisting the deacon as the deacon prepares the altar, carrying the cross and other duties as needed.

Our lay ministers serve one-three times a quarter per month according to their schedule and service time preference.

Training will be provided.
