Greening of the Nave and Make Your Own Advent Wreath
Christians have hung evergreens in homes and churches since the Middle Ages as reminders of the enduring power of God’s love made known in Jesus Christ. Join us as we decorate the Nave with evergreens and create Advent wreaths to take home.
Wednesday, December 8
“The Lord is Near”: An Advent Journey through Scripture
Join us as we read scripture of the season, and contemplate themes of anticipation, uncertainty, faithfulness, and hope. This intergenerational event will include meaningful activities for all ages.

Pageant and Parish Christmas Party
This is the time of year when we are invited to “hear once more the message of the angels”. Join the children and youth of Heavenly Rest in the Nave at 5:30 as they present the Christmas story and invite us to reflect on its continued relevance in our lives today. Afterwards, celebrate the season in Gerhart Hall with the Parish Christmas Party, which will include decorating the Heavenly Rest Christmas tree with family ornaments.
