The Thrift House is the oldest ministry created by Heavenly Rest. It was started 65 years ago with the encouragement of Parson Gerhart. He believed that selling a piece of clothing at an extremely modest price allowed an individual to maintain and encourage dignity.
Today, the Thrift House continues to serve this population and individuals who enjoy thrift shopping.
The Thrift House has been located at 761 Walnut since its doors first opened. Store hours are Tuesday – Friday from 9:30 am – 4:30 p.m.
Donations are accepted at any time. Items may be placed on consignment, but an appointment must be made by calling 325-672-3812.
