Anyone familiar with the services of the church understands the necessity of the Altar Guild. This group has the responsibility of preparing all the physical things included in our celebration of the Eucharist and other sacraments and offices as directed by the rector.
Four Altar guild teams provide for these needs. Each week, usually on Saturday morning, one team meets to set up for the Sunday services. This team is responsible for all the services during that week. The time commitment is 1-2 hours on Saturday and usually one service on Sunday and/or a weekly service. The church calendar varies in time commitment needed especially at Christmas, Lent, and Easter.
A special love and interest are needed to make this type of commitment. It is suggested that interested persons talk with clergy and with their encouragement, shadow an Altar Guild member. Please contact Sharon Kelley at kelley.sharonl@gmail.com.
