Since March of 2020, we have experienced a period of exile from our church community, as we have taken steps to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. As we resume a more normal schedule at Heavenly Rest, we will reflect on what we have experienced as a community and consider how that will shape our lives going forward. Join us after supper on Wednesday evenings in September. All presentations and discussions will take place in Gerhart Hall.
Flexible and Faithful
Join David Romanik for a look back at the ways Heavenly Rest navigated the pandemic: what worked, what didn’t, and what is worth keeping.
“The God who keeps covenant and steadfast love”
Join Dr. Mark Hamilton, professor of Old Testament at Abilene Christian University, as he explores the themes of exile and return in Scripture and how they apply to our situation as a community.
Join us for small-group conversations, in which we will reflect on what we have lost and learned during the last year and a half.
A Social Media Congregation?
Join David Romanik as he considers what it has meant for our parish’s common life to depend so much on Facebook during the height of the pandemic.
