“... for the saints of God are just folk like me, and I mean to be one too.”
Guiding generations of parishioners at Heavenly Rest, Parson Willis Gehart lovingly served as the Rector from 1921-1957.
Parson was someone who revealed God’s grace and someone who lived God’s grace. He inspired the people around him to lift their hearts out of themselves and acknowledge the humanity of those around them and the reality of God moving in their lives.
February 4th is the anniversary of Parson Gerhart’s death. Traditionally, in the Christian calendar, the day saints are remembered is the day they died. We want to invite you to meditate on the example of Parson Gerhart.
Join us for a Eucharist in honor of his life on February 4th at 7:00 p.m. We gather to remember this man who lived out the Gospel in every aspect of his life.
