Meander Street, Courtyard, and Nave
This is a fun, safe alternative to trick-or-treating! We had a wonderful time last year with many more families than expected. We’ll gather decorated vehicles on Meander Street to give out goodies, have mini concerts of spooky music in the nave, and have a photo booth, craft, and games in the courtyard.
This is a great way for families in our neighborhood and community to meet and interact with folks of all ages from Heavenly Rest. Church-wide fellowship and community outreach all in one! (Also, if you’re uncomfortable answering your door on Halloween but miss seeing those cute children – this is your chance.)
Ways YOU can participate:
• Sign up to have a decorated vehicle and maybe even dress up to give out candy or other goodies. (Or just show up that day!)
• Sign up to help with carnival-type games in the Courtyard (we have some planned or plan your own).
• DONATE individually wrapped candy, stickers, or other small items for children. (We had to make 2 runs to the store last year and still ran out!)
